Aschenputtel

I'm pretty happy with the way this new doll has turned out. She is "Aschenputtel" (aka Cinderella). To finish her, I made a dress and apron which I dirtied up with stain. I made a simple ladder-back chair for her to sit on, a mouse, a pumpkin and a basket (yes, I wove the basket) of logs. here she is in a pensive moment dreaming about princes, grand balls, fairy godmothers and such.

  3. I love her Susie, you have captured the look I would expect Miss Cinders to have, longing for a better situation somewhere away from her present job! I am glad you showed the dark brown undercoating, I'd never thought to use it for a fairer skinned doll. Best, Ani
