"The hart he loves the high wood,
The hare she loves the hill.
The knight he loves his bright sword
And my lady loves her will."

  3. I really love and enjoy these pieces so much. I think it is because it seems to tell a story and I love story telling.

  6. I have just found you blog via Jackie Morris and am so glad I did. I just love those - what do you call the boxes? I think of them as little mini-theatres; and the poem / nursery rhyme is exquisite. You have made my day.

  7. Thanks Anne, Jackie.
I don't know what I call these, Anne - small-scale mixed-media sculpture probably covers it! My husband thought this one reminded him of the dioramas he used to make from cereal boxes when he was a child (no money, buckets of creativity).
There are a few nods to your original painting in this one Jackie.....hope you like it (and I've crossed my fingers that it survives the long trip - I did pack it well).
