A busy week in the studio........
It is midwinter here, so it is great to be holed up in the studio with the fire roaring working away while it is grey and cold outside. Here's a bit of what I've been up to......
A new doll head
"Book of Stains" wall doll
Experiments with papier mache
And just for fun!

Update........
It's been a while since I posted anything.....lots happening in my life.
Last week I took myself up Ben Lomond alone on Bob's birthday (he would have been 64). It was such a beautiful magical day: warm and sunny considering it is mid-winter here. I walked to the top and just enjoyed the day.......put some stones on his cairn; breathed the pure air; felt the sun and wind on my face. Healing.

Another Take
Some years ago, I made a small 3D interpretation of Vermeer's "Girl With A Pearl Earring":
At the time, I really enjoyed the process, and I've had it in the back of my mind to have another go at it.......possibly with a slightly more mature look to the "girl".
Here is the progress of the new piece;
I have a few more famous paintings in mind........."Lady With Ermine", "La Gioconda"......which might stand similar treatment.

"Sorrydoll" #11
Here is the recently completed Eleventh Sorrydoll............this one seems to have a still thoughtful, but less sad countenance. I'm moving on! The last picture is of Eleven with her unfinished "pale sister".....Twelve, of course!
