Oh, I'm really getting into this painting lark! Here are a couple more I've completed - green apples and some poisonous looking toadstools - and two more elf babies in felted buntings.
Those elf babies are too precious for words. Also, you have mastered the art of volumizing. That may be my own term. I am constantly trying to get that effect with faces. I'm on a painting kick this month too. Funny how it will hit. It's like a craving to have a paint brush in your hand. You probably agree.
I love those little cocoon fairies. I made some a few years ago using my dogs leftover fur. This was fefore felting became popular. I made up a story of how I came across these little fairy cocoons in a forest after a big wind. I put them in altered tins for people to adopt to take care of while they were sleeping. I think I still have a few left over.
Thank you for reminding me! I just love to look at yours!
Hello again Susie! Thank you for stopping by my blog and the slithy troves! I love Jabbewocky. I too am pushing 60, I feel 6 emotionally and 70 physically! Go figure! I will have to go look for my little fairy in dog fur bunting but will post also with the story. It has been raining horribly today so will go down to shed hopefully tomorrow!

Thanks, dear friends for all the positive feedback - makes the lonely artistic life worthwhile when a few people appreciate what you do! :-)
