Another Take

Some years ago, I made a small 3D interpretation of Vermeer's "Girl With A Pearl Earring":

At the time, I really enjoyed the process, and I've had it in the back of my mind to have another go at it.......possibly with a slightly more mature look to the "girl".
Here is the progress of the new piece;

I have a few more famous paintings in mind........."Lady With Ermine", "La Gioconda"......which might stand similar treatment.

I like Vermmer's "Girl with a pearl" very much. Your spacial interpretation of this painting is beautiful and interesting. it is spacial, of course, because of the medium used, but at the same time I think it refers to the surface, two dimensions. And it reflects the passing of time, maturing. Beautiful.

Wow! You interpretation is brilliant and very inspiring. I can't wait to see how you do with the others. I had once thought of doing something similar with dolls. Recreating famous paintings. Still might one of these days. But, mine would be photographic and still 2D.
