This is the incredible polished steel sculpture in Millenium Park in Chicago. I am inside it looking up - you can make me out as the small figure in the lower centre of the picture.

The chocolate martini looks divine....chocolate is my best friend!
I went to one of Gloria's workshops and had a wonderful time! I was not successful in the process of fabric sculpture however, and was probably the only person in the class who had never attempted it! I am amazed at what she creates with a needle! Just the most incredible work.
The class was a blast. Hope she's down in our neck of the woods again!
Love the pics Susie, so much fun to look at and appreciate what a fabulous time you had! Keep them coming!
M-m-m-m-m! Chocolate Martini - all the basic food groups (alcohol, chocolate, sugar and fat) combined into one luscious drink!
Robin - I think you have found your doll-making niche - you don't really need to learn needle-sculpting. I was in San Diego for a few days only at the end of my trip - would have looked you up if I'd had a bit more time.
I can't believe you were in my home town, how cool is the Lake Front, I missed G Winer's class with the Mermaidens last year, it is great to see some pics of you and her

Great pictures. I'm passing the "One Lovely Blog" award on to you.
Yum, that martini looks delightful, might have to whip one up! I hope you are enjoying being home, I am looking forward to seeing some more dolls.
Also, I've just tagged you in one of those taggy bloggy thingys! Sorry..
Hope you've got the recipe for that chocolate martini, for my next visit :D
Down to one car again so it may be a while before I get over :(
