What I'm Working On.......
Here are a couple of dolls I am currently working on - among other things. They are both made using my "Izannah" style head mould. The disembodied, unpainted one has a moulded on hairstyle made from glue-impregnated thread and the other has the more typical painted hair. The fabric is a lovely Civil War reproduction cotton I found on my recent trip to the USA - just perfect for a dress!

Both heads are from the same mold? That's a true testament to how much painting can make differences. Love them both, but I especially love the chunky-ness of the one that's painted.

The fabric is lovely... didn't notice it when I read your post over at the Hive - too fascinated with the same thing Dixie mentioned.
Thanks for visiting... there is not a chance of chocolate on our tree... my dogs love chocolate! I too had a dog who managed to find a wrapped box of chocolates from under the tree - I didn't know they were there, since they were a gift from friend. But, although he managed to chew through the box, he also wasn't fussy about the wrappings, and ate those too!!
where are you located, Susie?
Love looking at your dolls...so sweet and so beautiful!
A very sweet face^_^
You are soooo unbelievably talented! I'm not a doll-maker, but am curious to know what material you mold the heads from. My friend does mixed media sculpture, and she makes the faces from self-hardening clay. Just wondering if there's something else she could use.
