We had to have our dear old Zappa put to sleep today. I'm writing this through tears - she was a wonderful old dog and we'll miss her greatly, but it had got to the stage where her life was no longer enjoyable, so we chose the only option we really had. She was seventeen. Vale, Zappa.

My condolences on your loss. The passing of a beloved animal tears at your heart but over time the tear will heal, although never quite fully. Zappa will always be there with you.
Sending a big hug Susie because I know words aren't enough to comfort you in such a loss.
Oh Susie that is so sad, it bought tears to my eyes too. What an amazing dog, you were so lucky to have Zappa for so long! Hugs to you

So sorry Susie. I have been through this and the grief is deep and smothering. I am hugging you from far away but I hope you can feel the caring.

:0( Sorry to hear that Susie, hugs xx
Dear Susie,
I am so sorry to hear that you had to part with Zappa.
She looked a very gentle little soul.
It is heartwrenching I know. When I lost my dear little cats, Max and Bonnie, I felt as though I had lost part of me.
These little creatures of God love you when you are at your worst, and at your best.
They are trusting and faithful, and so appreciative of the little things that humans so often take for granted.
My heart goes out to you and I hope that as time heals, all the lovely memories of good times shared with her will continue to bring you joy.
God Bless,
Love Karin
Dear Susie,
Words are never enough to tell someone how sorry we feel for their loss. There is always so much to feel sad about when we loose a loved one be they covered with fur or flesh. Zappa will be missed, of this I'm sure. Hugs
Im so sorry for your loss, I lost my dear Bella last year and I still miss her very much but time will heal your hurt.
very sorry
Marisa
Thanks for all those comforting thoughts......Even though Zappa was "borrowed" (she was really our son's dog and we'd been looking after her these past six years because he was doing a lot of travelling with his work) she was very much a part of our family......there will always be a Zappa-shaped hole in our lives.
I spoke to my son last night.....when he comes down to Tassie in January, he's going to plant a Zappa-tree on her grave. I think that will make a special place in the garden that will be forever Zappa's.
Sorry to hear the sad news and our beloved pets are sorely missed:o(( She was certainly a grand old lady and I'm sure you have lots of happy memories and this is what you must think of at this sad time. I've been through this a few times myself so my thoughts go out to you:o))
Take care.
Hugs Lyn
